# Let me fucking walk

> A public, photographic record of broken, missing and occupied footpaths in Bengaluru, India. Each entry is one spot on a footpath, with dated geotagged photos, street and locality, the type of problem, and whether it forces pedestrians onto the road. Entries stay up until the footpath is fixed, and are then marked fixed with before-and-after photos and the date.

Legal context: on 19 June 2026 the Supreme Court of India held that walking on a safe, demarcated, unobstructed footpath is a fundamental right under Articles 19(1)(d) and 21 of the Constitution (Maniyar Iliyaz @ Shaik Riyaz v. P. Ayyappan, 2026 INSC 647), and directed municipal bodies to build, maintain and protect footpaths.
